Victor Hotel
Victor, CO 80860
The Victor Hotel was built in 1899 and was originally a bank, but was also used as a storage area for the bodies of those who died during the winter when the ground was too hard for burial. The 4th floor of the hotel was where the bodies were stored, and it is said to be very active with footsteps, voices and spirits. A ghost named Eddie reportedly haunts room 301 since he fell down the elevator shaft. The elevator is said to open and close by itself.

This is a nice hotel with character. I stayed three nights in May and was impressed. I had two experiences hearing an older man's voice and a younger woman's voice in the loby area. When i walked into the loby rhe voices stopped instantly. Nobody was there and the same voices were heard in the second floor halls a few times. As soon as i got near the voices it stopped every time. Always the same two voices. This is not something I wanted to encounter.

In the elevator an old miners face was on the mirrors looking at us. Then on the landing of the third floor steps a woman walked through me! She was a pleasant feeling and in no way meant harm, just wanted me to know she was there! She felt more like an angel, than a "ghost". You can see on the wall where the fire was, and where it was rebuilt, along with feeling the fear that they must have felt.
