St. Elmo Hotel

We stayed here several times. The first and third were uneventful, but the second time our room felt creepy from the time that I walked in. After a late dinner we returned to our room to go to bed. And this is when it all started. Several times during my sleep I woke to hearing voices and the site of people standing at the side of my bed. I feel that I was only partially awake. I can’t remember the details of what they looked like or what they were wearing but I have no doubt they were there.

April 2025

We stayed there in Aug 2022 and checked in late around 9:30 pm. An envelope was left for us with our room key, the building employees had left prior to us getting in. We put our bags down and turned the lamps on then left to stroll the town. When we returned, I was unpacking my chargers and realized that the lamp on my side of the bed was unplugged and laying on the ground. We had video footage to prove we turned the lamps on. The room was cozy and the breakfast was great, but I didn't get much sleep. Truly a beautiful building!

August 2022

I stayed one night the end of March 2008 with my daughter and grand-daughter. I took pictures at each end of the upstairs hallway to see if I could get any ghosts on them. The next day, my camera could not be found anywhere. We stayed in the far back right suite (two queen beds, no t.v.). Children were not allowed, but they let us stay because they were empty. There was no one at the check out desk by the front door to tell about my camera when we left.
