Hotel Teatro was renovated in 1997, after a long career as the Denver Tramway Building. When the renovations began, construction crews began to experience a number of eerie occurrences. One group who heard voices coming from an office went to check it out, only to find no one there. Today, there is allegedly the ghost of a mechanic who has been seen walking down the hallways with tools in hand before mysteriously disappearing. The "tool man" is belived to have been a mechanic at some point who once worked on railcars in the basement of the building.
