Ghost children have been seen running and bouncing a ball and in the master bedroom, the motion detector is set off by something not quite of this Earth.
Witnesses have reported hearing footsteps in a tiny pointe children's Victorian boot that have led them to a room where the children slept in the home's older days.
The estate was featured on TV's "Ghost Hunters."

My grandmother was a housekeeper at Briarhurst Manor in the 80's. She recently been diagnosed with dementia and does not remember much now a days. These are things she would tell me when I was younger. She told me about closing up the restaurant late at night and would hear a woman singing. She would look around and check all the places a customer or guest may go and no one was there, yet she kept hearing the singing. She also would hear heavy footsteps around the stairwells and above the restaurant and common areas long after all guests were gone. She once took her boyfriend's dog on a walk and had to check on something at the manor along her walk. While she walked up to the door, the dog began barking and pulling back on the leash. He refused to go into the building and would scratch at the door. She never told me much more because I was just a child.
