Fantastic production by the people of Canon City and CCRD. What better way to experience a haunt than starting off on a spooky and creepy trail through the forest which leads to a creepy horror house?
My fiancee/partner and I traveled from Colorado Springs on the pitch dark Route 115 to visit this great haunt for the first time. After experiencing the two highly regarded haunted houses in The Springs the past two years, I was hoping to find something different with an outdoor trail. I was thrilled to find this one, and we were both satisfied with the experience.
The low intermittent lighting on the trail at night was perfect, setting the creepy mood for your encounters in the woods with scary people. The trail weaves its way up to the house, which immediately evokes an old-style haunted homestead feel. Full of scary, spooky actors and actresses, you meander through all the rooms of fright. Total darkness at one or two points inside the house which was a bit disorienting, even with the small glow stick in hand. We actually missed a turn and wound up in the same hall (maybe twice?) but eventually made our way out.
Back outside to the dimly lit spooky trail and more spooky characters waiting for us. Startled in the dark by loud blasts of steam somewhere nearby as we walked away from the house. The sounds of a chainsaw and screams are not far away in the distance. The encounter with the chainsaw maniac seemed inevitable but somehow we were spared. Maybe since he wanted to target the group of younger kids that followed behind us? We were alright with that ...lol!
Overall, a great job by everyone. It was tough having to wait in line for over 2 hours to get in. We took advantage of the hot chocolate station during the wait. Overall it was worth it in the end. The costumes, the masks and make-up were very effective! Thank you Canon City!

I have been through this haunt a number of times! This is hands down the best haunted house. The twists of haunted trails are really creepy. This is not a quick trip! You never know what is happening or where your going on the trails. But the house? That place is INSANE! There is so much going on, you never know where they are coming from. TOTALLY worth the drive and the price is cheap compared to ones in the big cities!

One of the best haunts in the state! I will not give away deets as you will want to be surprised but it's worth the drive and definitely worth the money! Which is by the way less expensive then the big denver haunts! Going again next year for sure🖤🐈⬛🧜♀️🎃🤡

Went to this last, will be back this year! Scared the "beep" out of me. Super scary outside and the clowns were crazy. can't wait to see what they do this year.

Very well put together. This is a haunt I will visit for as long as they keep doing it. My favorite part was the clown room and maze. I loved the two tall guys that were inside, as well as just how old and spooky the house really feels. Keep up the great work!

It is a good time and parts that I really did like The bridge that shakes was really cool But I did get turned around on the upstair of the house And the bus could have been a lot more scary it was to plain but its one really good haunted house and not to be rude but the Abby is one to beat

This is the best haunted house i have EVER been to....and is my first one ever i was amazed it gave me a story to put together so what i think the backstory of the haunt is. An old woman who was thirsty for blood she had a dog named chuck she hung up a santa light covered in blood warning others to beware she killed and killed. And would eat her victims. So yeah its how i think the backstory i think is alright.

Loved everything about Aftermath haunt. The walk through the dirt path to the haunted house was creepy. My nieces who were with me screamed at couple of instances. Bouncy room was their favourite. The meat locker virtually freaked me out. Few room at the end was awesome too (also the bonfire). We had a fantastic time. I don’t think I have ever been through a haunted house like this. Great work.

Oh my golly so much scares and so much fun!!! The house was well designed with multiple themed rooms and lots of new scares that will leave your heart racing. Attention to details was awesome. 5 star haunt.

Clearly one of the best haunted houses in Colorado. The dirt path you traverse to the house itself was a scarier experience. The haunted house was even better. Creepy sets, different themed rooms, scary props and scares that will freak you out. The bouncy room was one of a kind. Actors’ performance was professional. Overall, a very well put together haunt with lots of thrills and scares.

This is my third year in a row. They always come up with new innovative scares. This year my favourites were the meat locker and the rocking chair room. I was startled off my feet more than once. Can't wait until next Halloween!

This was a super fun experience. I and GF were really impressed with Aftermath. It was very well put together, right from the walk through the woods to the house itself. Scares were new and innovative. You will be kept guessing as to what is there around the corner. Few of the scares had my GF jumping. Actors’ costumes/makeup was spot-on. The bonfire at the end was awesome too. This was our second visit, and we are looking forward to what you come up with next year.

Loved their unique idea of wandering through the bush in the dark with flashlights to get into the house. The moment we entered the house, it was just the beginning of a new episode with animatronics and special effects to put our fear factor on the edge. All in all, it was a nice experience and great work by actors. Will love to visit again.

It was damn cool and frightening. Very much similar on lines of horror movies but experiencing the ghosts in the perfect outfits, makes us jump and scream like a hell lot. Very well-designed story and thematic rooms. Hats off to all actors and staffs.

My two kids, 10 and 12, were screaming. I was also startled couple of times. We all had a great time. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting CO.

Well organized haunt. Appreciate the talent and details they put in to scare every brave heart. It was a fright filled night out with lots of surprises. We were so excited and thrilled to explore and face the new terror that hides in every turn. The $15 cost is well worth.

I have been to several haunted attractions and I could say Aftermath is the scariest haunt in CO. For us, it was a screaming night mare. Enjoyed each minute and had lots of fun. We all loved to get scared and the whole event was stunning. Don’t miss your chance to visit this haunt if you are in Colorado.

Well spent evening at Aftermath Haunted house last weekend. Well designed rooms and no confusion as compared to traditional haunted houses. The ghosts were in damn scary outfits and we were just yelling and screaming whenever the encountering happened. Awesome job by management :)

It is a very well put together haunted house. The makeup, room design and ideas were top notch. To be honest, I was startled more than once. I’ve been to many haunted houses and I was never so creep-ed out. Enjoyed the experience. I am planning to come back with my GF and kid soon.

The haunted house was the best I visited this year. The zombie who followed me freaked me out. Actors all did a great job. The makeup was spot on as well.

It was screaming and flinching. Most of the actors were frightening and tormenting us like anything. My kids enjoyed a lot and staffs are very friendly. Worth spending $ and time !!

I have gone to Aftermath for the past 3 years now. I have loved the past years, but this year was my favorite. I did kind of like the way they reversed the route, but I kind of want to see that be changed back to its normal route for 2015! Everything else was amazing! Great actors, great staff, lovely scenery, epic place to go for Halloween! I give it a 10/10!

This home haunt was like THE MOST epic home haunt in Southern Colorado. I loved it. I got jumpscared by an airhorn in the dark maze they had. Haha. They also had the headless horseman, probably the best scare out of all of them! Going again for 2015 and future years!

I honestly was about to break down crying, asking where the exit was. I loved the outside, it was great, but not as scary as the house was..that place was INTENSE. They had a room FULL of clowns, a huge dark maze, and a downstairs meat locker, where a guy on stilts with a hockey mask and bloody gown awaited us..Loved it! 1000000/10

Great quality time for the family! It is great! Kinda dark in some areas (to be expected), but overall I'd say a 9.9/10. It does have jumpscares, loud noises, sudden booms, and some gruesome themes. Enter at your own risk

I have been to tons of home haunts in my life, but this one...oh this one freaked me out to the point where I wanted to run. The house was intense, but the forest, man I wanted to run, but I can't since im surrounded by darkness....Going again this year!

When I First saw the tv teasers for this, I automatically told my mom to drive me there. When I got there and went through, I came out almost wanting to cry. There were so many great scares and chills! I recommend going for 2014 and every year after that. This thing was AMAZING!

We had so much fun! A lot of scares, and screams. We will be going again this year, to the adult night. 18 and up, beer garden, live music! should be a great time!
