The Cruise Room is housed inside the iconic Oxford Hotel and was founded in 1933, after the repeal of Prohibition. As Denver’s longest-running bar, it’s no surprise that it’s rumored to be one of the city’s most haunted destinations. A mysterious postal worker is the ghost that is said to linger at The Cruise Room and surely enjoys his beer. There have been multiple reports of bartenders spotting a man walking into the bar dressed in an old post office uniform. The man orders a beer mutters "the children, I have to get the gifts to the children," then appears to drink his beer and leave. When the bartender goes to clear the beer bottle, it’s still full. Legend says that there was a postal worker in the 1930s that was on his way to deliver Christmas gifts to Central City, but he never made it. The man’s body was found months later in the Spring, with all the gifts beside him.
